OPEN CALL TO ARTISTS:
The Cloud Factory in partnership with Marble Mountain Ski Resort
The Cloud Factory invites artists to submit proposals for an outdoor site-responsive installation presented in partnership with Marble Mountain Ski Resort, summer 2026. The primary project site is the Marble Mountain’s Toad Pond which sits below a zipline. See image below. Proposals for alternative on-site locations within the resort grounds are welcome. Artists are encouraged to consider the specific environment and public setting when developing proposals.
Artist Fee & Support
$2,000 artist fee (inclusive of materials and transportation)
Two (2) Marble Zip Tour passes (valued at ~ $270)
Two night accommodation at Marble Mountain Ski Resort (valued at ~$500. Anytime between June 26-30)
Installation support provided by the Cloud Factory
Schedule
Deadline for submissions: April 20, 2026 Installation begins on or before June 27, 2026 Exhibition period: June 1 – end of August 2026

Submission RequirementsPlease include the following in a single PDF submission:
Project proposal (up to 500 words.)
Image of Proposed Project
Any technical requirements and proposed installation schedule
Artist CV or Bio
Samples of past work (up to 10 images and/or video links)
Artist Website (optional)
The Cloud Factory can provide a letter of support if artists will be applying for a travel grant.
Projects should be suitable for temporary outdoor installation and consider environmental conditions at the site.
